The partnership of donors includes Old Blues who left Christ’s Hospital during the decade of the 1970s.
Peter Farnfield (Old Blue 1966-73, MaA, MdA). Peter is a Chartered Surveyor and has spent much of his career in the field of Property Fund Management and latterly as a director of Dunsfold Park, the so-called home of Top Gear! However it was for the former reasons that he was invited in 1999 to come onto the Christ’s Hospital Property Investment Committee and thence in 2002 to the Council of Almoners from which he retired in 2013. Peter maintains his links with CH in two ways: tutoring the Drum Majors and through his son Dan, who now works at Housey as a geography teacher and who is currently House Master of Mid A! Peter is married to Maureen, lives in Dorking and between them they have five children.
Tim Hackshaw (Old Blue 1968-75, MaB, ThA) Tim is Managing Director at Kula Water Ltd, specialists in the supply of mains fed water coolers to business. As well as running his own business, Tim has been involved in sales and marketing for over 20 years, working for large blue chip organisations.
“I loved my time at CH and having seen what has been going on in recent years, it is easy for me to give back. But I understand that for many Old Blues, less close to CH than I’ve been, and perhaps lacking the store of happy memories, the idea of coming forward now to support this Fund may be more difficult. I understand, but ask that you consider afresh the great benefits that your support will bring to a child in need. The work that CH does today makes us all better and lending your support is worthwhile in itself, and I hope will not be conditional on your past experience.
Speaking to you as a fellow 70’s leaver it will be fair to say that we have reached a time when it’s natural to reflect upon our lives, what we’ve taken out and put in, and to wonder what may lie in store for the next generations, not least our own children and grandchildren. I hope you will join with me and make the Blue Fund the fantastic success I know it will be. ”

We are enormously grateful to all our donors for their generosity and support in providing a needy child’s education at Christ’s Hospital. Thank you!
